I arrived home from Lilies War last night. Lilies war is a week long event hosted by the Kingdom of Calontir. There is heavy weapons fighting, cut and thrust, archery, and thrown weapons, and that’s just the marshaled activities!  For the second year, the Bee Sisters organized a shoot off the Viking ship replica, the Fyrdraca. This replica is over 30 years old and has graced Smithville Lake with her presence at many a Lilies.

In 2014, the Fyrdraca was first used as a platform for archers shooting at a target on the shore. The shoot was a fund-raiser for the Calontir Archery Fund and for the upkeep of the Fyrdraca.  It was such a popular event that the organizers planned a second shoot in 2015.  Having shot in the first group to engage in this activity in 2014, I can attest to the fun we had. It took some time to wipe the smiles and grins off our faces after this activity.
