As most players in the SCA know, the SCA Board of Directors voted to approve a new peerage, Masters of Defense, which is solely a fencing peerage.  There is a group that has now formed to promote the petition to the BoD for an “omnibus” peerage for the other martial activities that currently do not have a separate peerage: equestrian, archery, thrown weapons, siege weapons.  They have set up a Facebook page to discuss issues.  Please consider joining this group.

Personally, I am not strongly motivated to promote additional peerages. I was happy with the three peerage system that existed prior to the approval of the MoD.  However, some of my friends feel very strongly about it, so I am happy to support their efforts.
